Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the TinyHearts course for?
The Tiny Hearts Life-Saving Skills for Parents course is perfect for parents, grandparents and carers who want to feel prepared to handle emergencies and first aid with babies and children. It’s great for anyone looking after a little one - whether you’re expecting your first child or just want to brush up on your skills.
The session is relaxed, supportive and hands-on, helping you gain confidence in those important first moments before professional help arrives. We understand that childcare can be tough, so we welcome newborns and children under one.
Where in Nottingham is the training held?
Our training sessions in the vibrant city of Nottingham are selected for excellent connectivity, typically situated near the M1 (J24–J26), the A52, or the NET tram network. This central positioning makes us an ideal choice for delegates travelling from Derby, Leicester, Mansfield, Newark, and Loughborough. We prioritise venues with on-site or nearby parking to ensure a stress-free arrival. Please note that venue locations may vary; confirmed details will be sent to you two weeks before your course. If you have specific access requirements, please contact our team.
What should I wear for the session?
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (like trousers and a t-shirt) and flat shoes. Our training involves active clinical simulation and practical skills, such as CPR and recovery positions, so you will need to move around freely and kneel on the floor.
Are children welcome at the session?
We understand that arranging childcare can be stressful and that you often want to keep your baby close. Please don't let that stop you from attending TinyHearts - we are more than happy to welcome little ones under the age of one to this session.
Can you deliver TinyHearts for my club or organisation?
We would be delighted to work with your Nottingham based organisation. Please use the “Get a quote” function above to contact us with as much information as possible. All our instructors are healthcare professionals with enhanced criminal records checks.
Is TinyHearts accredited first aid training?
The TinyHearts programme is accredited by the The First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and more commonly known as First Aid for Parents and Carers. It is also aligned with guidelines from the Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK), The Children's Burns Trust and the UK Sepsis Trust.
What our learners say
"CPR, only seen on TV Previously, and was totally different in practice. Hopefully never have to use, but good to know, and good to have slides afterwards."

"Clear, concise and plenty of easy to understand information. Absolutely. I felt safe with Matt who was calm and collected, and knowledgeable. Hayley was super at demonstrating and they both made something so overwhelming, so easy."
