What our learners in Derby say

"Exactly the right level and pace to be a friendly, gentle introduction to basic First Aid for children- giving them confidence and skills to deal with emergencies. My daughter really enjoyed the hands on activities (and the sticker rewards!), and the instructors made it fun and playful, while still ensuring that the children were learning and practising in age appropriate ways."

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Teddy Bear CPR for?

Teddy Bear First Aid and CPR is perfect for schools, nurseries, and clubs who want to show little ones that there is "no need to be big to be brave"and is ideal for children aged 4 to 8 years.

We know first aid can seem scary for little ones. That’s why our healthcare professional trainers use Buddy the Bear to lead the way! Teddy Bear First Aid and CPR is designed to be 100% "scare-free," focusing on confidence, play, and simple actions that save lives. It’s perfect for children who might find a standard first aid courses a bit overwhelming.

Where in Derby is the training held?

For Derby courses, we normally choose venues on the Nottingham side of the city so they are easier to reach from the A52, A38 and M1 corridor. This often makes travel simpler for learners coming from areas around Pride Park, Spondon, Chaddesden and Royal Derby Hospital, with good access by car as well as bus and rail links into Derby.

We favour venues with reliable parking and straightforward road access rather than busier central Derby sites, which helps keep both travel and venue costs more manageable.

Full venue details and arrival instructions are normally sent around 14 days before your course.

Will my child get something to remember the day?

Absolutely! Every child will be given a certificate at the start of the session to earn stickers as they complete each mission.
