What our learners in Nottingham say
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Teddy Bear CPR for?
Teddy Bear First Aid and CPR is perfect for schools, nurseries, and clubs who want to show little ones that there is "no need to be big to be brave"and is ideal for children aged 4 to 8 years.
We know first aid can seem scary for little ones. That’s why our healthcare professional trainers use Buddy the Bear to lead the way! Teddy Bear First Aid and CPR is designed to be 100% "scare-free," focusing on confidence, play, and simple actions that save lives. It’s perfect for children who might find a standard first aid courses a bit overwhelming.
Where in Nottingham is the training held?
Our Nottingham courses are usually held in practical venues on the outer parts of the city, with easy access from the M1, A52, A610 and Nottingham ring road.
We often choose locations that are convenient for learners travelling from around Queen's Medical Centre, City Hospital, Hucknall, Wollaton and Basford, with the added benefit of useful public transport links including Nottingham's tram network, local bus routes and rail connections into Nottingham station.
We deliberately avoid expensive city-centre venues where parking can be limited and traffic can add unnecessary stress, helping us keep the day simpler, easier to reach and as cost-effective as possible.
Full venue details and arrival instructions are normally sent around 14 days before your course.
Will my child get something to remember the day?
Absolutely! Every child will be given a certificate at the start of the session to earn stickers as they complete each mission.
What should I bring for Teddy Bear First Aid and CPR?
Every child should bring their favourite teddy bear or soft toy 🧸. They won't just be watching; they'll be performing life-saving "pushes" and "Superhero Sleeps" on their best furry friends! Also, don’t forget to bring a drink and some snacks.
Parents bring your mobile phone as we'll be using our specially designed web-app to practise calling 999.
